Procrastination…It’s what keeps me up this late. It’s what gives me stress. It’s what puts the pressure on. But hey, I’m in college. Most college kids procrastinate. Plus, I’m a freshman, so I’m trying to build a social life. I’d rather not have my first year go by and not really get to know anybody. That’d be tragic…
Off to bed…Well, Encore went well. I sang backup with a couple other guys for Keith Spencer. We sang Seal’s “Kiss From A Rose.” We had a great time doing it. But I must hit the sack. I’m pooped, and I have another early morning. I play at East Side CHOG with the worship band, which tomorrow includes Jon McLaughlin. I’m excited to play with him. This’ll be the first time. Ok, off to bed…
Early morning…Chorale’s singing at some Lenten breakfast thingy at a church downtown Anderson tomorrow morning. We have to be there at 7:20. ON A SATURDAY!! YUCK!! So, I must sleep…
Busy night…Oh man, I’m dreading my night. Well, not completely, but somewhat. I have 2 rehearsals and a meeting with a small group from my speech class. We’re working on a presentation. Anywho…the rehearsals won’t be so bad because I know and get along with the people in the two groups, but I really don’t know anyone in my speech group. The worst thing about this evening is that I’ll be busy from 6:45 till 11:00, pretty much nonstop. But what can I do? Suck it up and get on with my life, I suppose. Well, I’m off…
Rehearsal Cancelled…Well, I got to the music building at 10:20 (ok, so I was late, but at least I made it), and some people were hanging out. One of them was Peter, but Keith wasn’t there, so I assumed we were waiting for him. After hanging out for 15-20 minutes, I come to find out that rehearsal was cancelled. Thanks for telling me when I got there, Peter…
So I think I’ll go practice for a while for my GSR next Tuesday. I’m not really excited, but that’s mainly because I know how unprepared I am. Oh well…
Bowling…Encore…Just plain fun…I just got back from bowling, and let me tell ya…I stink. We bowled for quite some time, and I didn’t even get 10 strikes. But I was close… Plus, I was extremely dirty. Those bowling balls are nasty, and of course my arms, hands and shirt were covered with a layer of black stuff. I don’t even want to think about where that grime came from. But this story gets better…I took a shower and I feel great! I’ve got a rehearsal tonite at 10:15 for Cheap Thrills/Encore Greatest Hits show this Saturday. Peter Smith and I are singing backup for Keith Spencer on Seal’s “Kiss from a Rose.” I think someone else will be joining us too, but I don’t know who yet. Valerie Cantrell and Andrew Martin are playing cello and violin with us as well. It should be great. I’d never heard that song until Keith sang it at a previous Encore show…
