I thought of that in the shower and found it kinda amusing. So...here I sit typing it for everyone to enjoy. Now it's time to live up to that motto.

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

I wouldn't mind dropping 10 pounds before my birthday (yes, the 6th of August is my birthday), but more than 10 would be even better. Oh, and the "results not typical" thingy basically means fat, out-of-shape people like me have no chance of losing even 1 pound. Oh well...

Monday Wretched Monday…
No, not a new U2 song. More like my dismay at going back to another week of waking up early and working 10 hours. Oh well...it's not that bad. The check that comes on Thursdays makes it all worth it. But another reason Monday is wretched: it is the one week anniversary of the day the table saw almost took my thumb from me.
On a more serious note, I am very thankful and blessed that my thumb will heal back to normal. One of my first thoughts when it happened was what would happen to my music, but it looks like that won't be an issue anymore. I really think the Lord has something in store for me with music. I just need to do my part and hone my talent (and protect my hands from dangerous equiptment).

Almost killed myself…
I didn't have a chance to post yesterday, but here's the scoop (don't worry, I'm okay): I was using a table saw to cut a thin piece of cardboard the long way (like a hot dog) to make it even thinner. Well, my left thumb got in the way of the saw. Fortunately, it wasn't my right thumb, and the doctor says I should expect a full recovery. Actually, it isn't as bad as it looks (it still looks gross...thought I'd share) or felt at the time. It really just ripped some layers off. But anyway, I must be going. I might post a picture sometime...
So no, I didn't almost kill myself, but I'm lucky I still have 9.9 fingers with another 0.1 on the way.
Either table saws hate me, or they think my thumb is tasty,

Another Work Week…
This is it...week #2 of the "Summer O' Work" for Mr. Matthew Ulrich. Life in the shipping department at Fleetwood begins at precisely 6 o'clock am tomorrow. You'd think I was excited. Well, I'm kinda not. Despite the anticipated large paycheck, I still hate geting up that early and working that long, but I guess I'll have to suck it up and make it through the week one day at a time. I lead worship at Spring Lake Wesleyan next Sunday, so I have rehearsal Tuesday night and of course an early morning on Sunday. That's the outlook on my week. Looking toward the weekend...

I've been doing some thinking since, well, about 6:55 this evening. I read over my previous post and realized how weird it must make me sound. Well, let me offer a word of assurance. I'm just a guy with occasional weird thoughts that I find funny. But I understand that others may not see the humor. So there's always the comment box for anyone who wishes to express their solicitude about my personality...

Yay!! It's almost the weekend!! Two and a half days of freedom!! Give it up!! Keep it going for ending celebratory sentences with two exclamation points!! Ok, enough of that. I'm really not that extatic. But close. Just thought I'd share.
