This Week
Well, this has been an interesting week. I've played in chapel twice, played in a service Tuesday night, and not too many minutes ago, I won a $15 gift certificate to Target. It's a feminine pink color with flowers and a butterfly on it, which I'm not too fond of, but hey, it's 15 bucks I didn't have before. Bring on the groceries! Oh, and they had all these free sample snacks and stuff at this food show in the Marketplace tonite, so now I've got food to eat in my room, at least more than what I've had. Alright, I ran across a candy heart in my roommate's stash that says "I'm Sure" so I need to go tape it on The Bear's door.

RIP: A Dear Friend
It finally happened. It's over. I guess I'll have to move on, although I don't see how that will happen. You're probably wondering, "Matt, what the heck are you talking about?" Well, where do I start? I guess I'll put it plain and simple. I lost a dear friend today. Although we've only known each other for about a year and a half, we've grown really close. Sometimes we'd go to class together (mainly when it's warm...my friend never liked going outside in the cold). We've been shower buddies practically every time I've taken a shower since I started college. When we first met, we bonded instantly. I'd been waiting for a friend like that. And now my friend is gone forever. It is especially sad that it happened today because my roommate is gone for the weekend, so I will have to mourn in solitude with no one to comfort me.
That's right, it's my pair of black Ocean Pacific sandals. They broke after my shower today. You will forever be in my heart...
On the bright side, I can start wearing my new Old Navy sandals that I've had for months, waiting for my OPs to break.

What Was He Thinking???
Billboard.com: "DMB Bus Driver Charged In Waste Dumping"
I'm doing a current events paper for Music Publishing, and I ran across this article. Click here to read the article. Then answer this question for me: "What kind of idiot does this?"
I guess his only redeeming action was that he turned himself in.
Contact Page!
Give it up for the new contact page!! You can get there by clicking "Contact" in the Navigation menu on the left. There you can write me personal mail, send inquiries about my music (see this site), or contact the webmaster (which also happens to be me) with comments, questions, and concerns about this site.
I look forward to hearing from all of you, my faithful readers, and I know it may take weeks for me to sort through all the fan mail I'll be getting, but I'll do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.
Humbly yours,
Matt
P.S. Sorry this wasn't much of a blog entry. I guess I'd call it more of an announcement.
Jazz!
Today's the first day of Jazz Ensemble for the semester. I enjoy it, but I kinda wish I didn't have it today. Kind of ironic that I have Jazz today, and this site is called "All That Jazz." Hm...
Jazz-fully yours,
Matt
Pacers Game
Well, I went to see the Pacers play the Orlando Magic tonite at the Conseco Fieldhouse, and it was unfortunate that the Pacers were defeated. They looked better later in the game and actually ended up only losing by 1 point, but too-little-too-late. Thanks to my good friend Jordan Sipe for the ticket which was given to him by his aunt for Christmas, so he and I went and had a jolly good time. Fortunately IU won today, or he would have been unbearable if both of his basketball teams lost. Well, this is all I have for the evening. I must get up exceedingly early for church tomorrow as I need to be there by 7:30. Yuck.

The Village
So I'm going over to Doug Irving's house tonite to watch The Village. I've heard some people say they really liked it, and I've heard others that said they didn't like it. I guess that leaves me to decide for myself, but having heard the synopsis, I think I'll like it. What I love about watching movies at Doug's house is that he has his own home theater system, but not just any home theater system. I'm talking a sweet 6.1 surround sound system, with the speakers strategically placed for optimal sound, and of course connected with light-pipe optical cable for the highest quality audio. He has a big white wall that becomes the screen for the 100-inch picture coming from his projector which is hooked up using the newest and best in video technology-- not component, not s-video, not composite, but DVI, which provides the highest quality digital video signal available to my knowledge. So in conclusion, watching movies at Doug's place is quite a quality experience. He's quite the movie buff, and his seemingly-endless collection of DVDs takes up good portions of closets and bookshelves throughout his house.
I think this will be quite the enjoyable evening.

Name Change
Alright, I know I just put the blog up not too long ago, but I didn't really like the title "Keynotes," so I changed it. Hopefully the new name will stick.
Welcome to ALL THAT JAZZ!!
