Sorry, a little Dane Cook humor in that title. Maybe one person caught it. Anyway, here’s a story about what happened to me today. I was walking with a friend of mine, who is affectionately known as “The Bear,” to the student center so he could get a drink in the Haven (that’s our fast-food restaurant, for any non-AU people reading this). As we were approaching the entrance door, I happened to be listening to a voicemail on my phone. It finished right before we reached the door, so I was standing approximately two feet from the door as I was closing my phone. I looked up from my phone, and at that precise moment, The Bear had decided to open the door. Unfortunately, I was not clear of the path of the door. So before I was even able to raise my head to its normal position, the edge of the door absolutely demolished my forehead. Needless to say, the metal of that door crashing against my skull hurt like a word I shouldn’t say. I had a nice ridge of a welt extending from my scalp line almost to my left eye for a few hours. It’s gone now, and I feel no pain. Just thought I’d share a fun story from my day.
