I’ve Got Georgia On My Mind…
Well, not really, but I do have that and a number of other songs stuck in my head, not the least of which are Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas and Your Song by Elton John. You see, yesterday I completed what seemed like a 14-hour marathon of playing those songs and more. It’s a phenomenon called Encore, brought to the AU campus by way of the social club Agathos. One thing I should mention is how great it feels to make good music in a band, especially when I feel like just as much a part of the band as the next guy. It’s not often one gets to play with good musicians and practice a lot to make the songs sound good, and historically this is true with me. Anyway, time is short. There’s so much to write about: everything I have to do before the end of the semester, what I decided about my summer occupation, the stress of both, the desire to make enough money playing music that I could never have to have another “real” job, and the list goes on. Maybe I’ll save those for another day.
How about that Indiana weather…70s and sunny 3 days ago, butt cold and snowy last night and today. Yuck. I wish warm weather would quit flirting with us. What stinks is I already sent my warm clothes and winter coat home.
Matt

Encore…sounded like this one was going to be a good one…wish I could have been there. And Indiana’s weather sounds almost as crazy as Colorado’s.

More like crazier.

No, it’s just that when it comes to the weather, in Indiana, crazy = crazy, whereas in Colorado, crazy = normal.
