Me? A NFL Player?
Wow, that title doesn’t sound proper when I say it out loud. I feel like it should say “An NFL Player,” but it has to be “A” because “NFL” starts with a consonant. Ok, moving on…

Actually, you’re right when you think it should be “An” and not “A.” That’s because if you sound out the letter N, even though it’s a consonant, it starts with a vowel sound.

You know, I get really mentally bored at work, so I started thinking about this. I came to the same conclusion as you just pointed out. I was wrong about the “A.” I wondered why it felt so weird to say it correctly. I wasn’t.
I’ll leave it the way it is, though, so people will understand what the heck we’re talking about.

That’s why I love my job…you don’t get bored when you’re a Day Camp counselor!

True…but I have to keep telling myself that most people who have summer jobs they enjoy or don’t get bored with don’t have the potential to pull down over $300 a week. That’s my only hope.

You have a point there…I don’t get paid a lot, but then again, room and board is provided for me, so that’s why I don’t get paid as much here as compared to other summer jobs I’ve had in the past.

amen, bro… as I also make over $300 a week.
factory worker kids rock the house and everyone knows it. w00t w00t!

I don’t mind not getting paid as much as you guys…as a Day Camp counselor, I know I have the best job at the YMCA of the Rockies!

Now, we’re not here to argue. I’d much rather be a camp counselor than a factory worker. Anybody who wouldn’t either doesn’t like kids or is crazy. Discussion closed.
